I am an experienced genetic counsellor, registered with the The Academy for Healthcare Sciences and specialising in reproductive genetics. I  previously worked for several years in the NHS, covering a broad range of cases including prenatal, cancer and general genetics. More recently, I worked for a private reproductive genetic testing laboratory, providing genetic counselling to support the services they offered, to individuals/couples and to fertility clinics . Prior to my career as a genetic counsellor, I gained a first class honours degree in Biochemistry and Genetics at The University of Nottingham and then worked in medical publishing as an Editor and Medical Writer, before undertaking an MSc in Genetic Counselling at Cardiff University.
